Trifarious Ensemble

        • performing modern music of the highest calibre •

Trifarious is a vibrant contemporary ensemble comprising Tim Redpath (clarinet/saxophone), Rachel Calaminus (violin/viola) along with associate collaborative musicians including pianists Nicola Meecham and Alex Wilson. Its unique and diverse instrumentation opens up an ever-expanding sound world with which to perform and promote new music. Trifarious was formed in 2012 by Tim Redpath following twenty three years as leader of the Apollo Saxophone Quartet (winners of the 1993 Tokyo International Chamber Music Competition). The ensemble has created its own distinctive sound and repertoire and has established itself as a shining light in the world of new music.
